Prostate removal
"prostate removal" implies a surgical intervention to remove prostate tissue. The entire removal of the prostate is a "radical prostatectomy", whereas partial prostate removal can also be accomplished. The clinical circumstances (whether cancer or benign problems) will dictate how much prostate tissue is removed. Surgery to remove prostate can either be transurethral/laparoscopic/or open surgery.
