Antibodies are proteins made by the immune system to block or neutralize foreign substances in the body. Monoclonal antibodies are artifical antibodies created in the lab to block or neutralize a specific target. They are produced from a single cell (i.e., single clone) and thus only bind to one specific target molecule.
