Antibody to 1 target: Antibodies are proteins made by the immune system to block or neutralize foreign substances in the body. Monoclonal antibodies are artifical antibodies created in the lab to block or neutralize a specific target. They are produced from a single cell (i.e., single clone) and thus only bind to one specific target molecule.

Cloned B cell: B-cell produce antibodies. Sometimes a b-cell can be cloned, and it produces many copies of the same antibody, hence a monoclonal antibody. Monoclonal antibodies can be seen in multiple myeloma, and myoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance (mgus).
