A member asked:

Why hasnt monoclonal antibodies cured cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lack of specific: Target. Your question implies that cancer cells have unique cell surface markers to which monoclonal antibodies could be directed and that is not valid. Tumor cells usually do not have markers not present on normal cells and there is marked variation among tumor cells within a given tumor.
