A lung nodule is a symptom in which a person has a chest x-ray or CT scan that shows a small lump (nodule) in a lung. A lung nodule can be cancerous or non-cancerous. If cancerous, it can be a lung cancer or can be a metastatic cancer that spread from another part of the body.
