Collapsed lung (spontaneous pneumothorax)

What is the sensitivity of chest x-ray in diagnosing spontaneous pneumothorax? Is this a deadly condition usually in a young, otherwise healthy man.

If my parent has had multiple spontaneous pneumothorax, and if i develop sudden chest pain and shortness of breath, how likely is it pneumothorax too?
