Staph Infection: It sounds more like a staph bacterial infection secondary to the previous yeast problem. It does not sound like an std.

Since, such creams usually contain anti fungal agent with steroid and direct to suppress and rid skin fungal infection, which inflict warm and moist areas like external genitalia and groins - called tine cruris.
