Women- None: Sometimes men will have burning, if it spreads to the fallopian tubes it can cause intense fever, pain, scarring and infertility. Routine screening a few weeks after a new sex partner is recommended for all under 25 yo.

None to some: Many women wont have any symptoms but some can have symptoms 1-3 weeks after exposure: abnormal vaginal discharge, burning with urination, abdominal or low back pain, fever and pain with intercourse can occur if it gets into the uterus or tubes. Irregular bleeding can also occur if it is a significant infection. Men generally have penile discharge or burning with urination.
