Make sure: Usually the single dose is effective. It is also critical that any & every sexual partner of yours gets treated as well, and that you do not have unprotected intercourse with someone with the infection until both parties are treated. There are longer courses of treatment, usually a week of Doxycycline twice a day is very effective as well.
