Testicular exam: If your kidney stone has not dropped into your ureter, it is unlikely that this is the cause of your problem. Seek out a urologist to have a thorough exam of your scrotum and testes. He may suggest you undergo a scrotal/ testicular ultrasound. Possible diagnoses could be inflammation of testis or epididymis, hydrocele, hernia, or tumor. Don't let it go if it has been there for 6 months.
