ASCUS: HPV possible: You should do what your gyno suggests. Why would you turn to us? They are following every single appropriate process in this situation. Ladies die of cervical cancer. We now know how to test for and predict for this risk. This is life saving at it's very finest. You may not be close to getting cancer, but you just cannot pray this change away. Follow your trusted advisors who are trying to save.

Do it!: Go thru with the colposcopy but don't worry. They just want to be certain there are no areas to worry about, and if there are they will fix them! more than likely it will be fine and they will ask you to repeat your pap in 6 months after the colposcopy . You are young &we know that girls can often clear hpv by their immune system if under 30. Till u are clear of hpv use safe sex . Don't pass on.

Follow doc's advice: Follow your gyn's advice. The change in cell findings in someone so young requires further information. The worst thing you can do is nothing.
