What causes bleeding in between periods? its not heavy and pap smear and std tests came out normal.

Interm vag bleed: Ovulation may cause a one day spotting two weeks before menstruation. Implantation bleeding occurs ~7 days after ovulation. Sloughing of the endometrium ( which os not detected by pap test ) could be because lack of hormones.

Intermenstrual bleed: Bleeding in between periods may be normal in most patients if it if an occasional event. It may be caused by hormonal fluctuations of your body. Polyps and fibroids may also cause spotting. Persistent spotting will need to be checked out.
