A member asked:

Earlier this year i had a really bad bout of depression. along with the depression and anxiety came erectile dysfunction. i still get erections at night, but its next to impossible to get an erection hard enough for sex. my urologist says its no?

Although urologists are trained in treating erectile dysfunction, I find that for best care& follow up a specialist in male sexual disorders is the most thorough physician for ED. You may find such specialists in a university hospital near you or in a men's sexual health clinic.

If you get erection then the mechanism is intact and the problem is related to your depression. Pl, mention it to your psych. doc and with proper control of it you will be able to have sex. Good luck
