Depends: It all depends upon the cause. If the cause is a medical condition like diabetes, nervous system disorder, depression or some medication then erectile dysfunction will get worse. If the cause is psychological then reassurance and cooperation by the sex partner helps improve the dysfunction. Seeing a urologist is generally not necessary. Your family physician can take care of most cases of ed.
