I have a bulge or lump above and to the right of my penis.it is about the size of a small boiled egg. there is no pain, it is neither hard nor soft, and i just noticed it this morning. it does not seem to be interfering with my ability to urinate?

A lump of that size which happens overnight is likely a lymphocele. This is more likely if you had rough sex or masturbation in the previous night. If that is the case, then you can observe and the lump will resolve by itself by time. If that's not the case, then you should see your doctor for an exam. Good luck
