Yeast form about 5% of the dry weight of your stool. The close proximity of your anus to your vagina makes a yeast infection common in some women through simple cross contamination. HIV is not, and that is not high on the list of possibilities.

Frequent vaginal yeast infections very rarely indicate immune deficiency due to HIV. The vast majority occur with entirely normal immune systems. As Dr. Ferguson said, new vaginal yeast symptoms don't mean you caught it again; yeasts live normally in the vagina or rectum. For frequent recurrences, excellent prevention is fluconazole by mouth every 1-2 weeks. Ask your doctor about it. Good luck.
