Yes, you may remove the ring a couple of days early and still have protection. I am guessing you are trying to time your period to a more convenient time. Your other option, and perhaps the better one, is to just leave it in instead of removing it for the week, then place a new one right away. You will tend not to have a period at all if you do this, but there is no harm or risk to that.
