I recently developed a bump on my inner thigh toward my buttocks and am concerned it could be hpv. how can i tell?

Best to see a doctor: Hpv has a very characteristic appearance that a doctor would recognize. One thing you could try on your own is to put white vinegar on the bump. If there is hpv the skin should turn white.

Condyloma acuminatum: The way you can tell if you have genital warts (condyloma acuminatum; hpv) is by seeing your doctor. These warts may have certain visual characteristics which let the doctor know if they are genital warts or not. Treatment & counseling can be done at the same visit. A a biopsy is sometimes needed. A pap smear is also recommended as hpv is the #1 risk factor for cervical cancer.
