A member asked:

So they say bc is normally very effective in preventing pregnancy because it stops ovulation. in the rare occasion that a woman does become pregnant on bc, how does that happen if she doesnt ovulate due to bc??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very effective is not the same as 100%. Ovulation can occur in spite of the pill and even if taken perfectly, so if a pregnancy occurs that is what happened.
