Syphilis can be transmitted by kissing, but rarely. "Painless bump" doesn't suggest syphilis. And the negative blood test also is reassuring: blood tests usually are positive within a week of onset of chancre. For additional reassurance, you could have another test in a couple more weeks.

Syphilis is rare ly spread just by kissing but by sex. If the person has it then you need to see your doc for possible treatment and proper testing
