The hCG blood test is accurate, even more accurate than the HPT. If you're ten days after a missed period, retake the tests.

The HCG test is a blood test that is more sensitive than the urine test. A positive can be determined in 6-8 days after ovulation. A urine test takes longer to for results to be determined since more HCG has to be released for testing. If concerned take another blood test.
