Yes, 6 days is perfect. A week of doxycycline would be effective in preventing syphilis up to 2-3 weeks after exposure.

I had a receptive MSM oral exposure at the end of March. Was given 500mg Rocephin within 72 hrs and took unexpired doxy from 2021 (100mg 2x 7 days) starting day 10. At 3 weeks am negative for G/Cl. Are my results accurate? Is syphilis a risk?
Started doxy 4 days after possible exposure to syphilis (giving oral, mouth entrance point). Also rocephin 500mg shot 5 days after exposure. Doxy is 7 days 200mg/day. Is this early enough to kill/prevent syphilis incubation and not become contagious?
