"Invasive" or "systemic" candidacies, as presented online and in popular culture, is a myth. Candida does not cause the many symptoms claimed. Vaginal yeast does not progress to such problems. There is a true form of systemic candidiasis, in which people with serious immunodeficiency or hospitalized with life-threatening conditions can have candida sepsis. It responds to anti-fungal antibiotics.
