Yeast infection is the most common cause of vaginal burning, especially if there is redness, itching, or irritation. Allergy or irritation from hygiene products or detergents also is possible. If there are open sores, get checked for herpes (which can appear in monogamous couples). Maybe try an OTC vaginal yeast medication; look for active ingredient ending in "azole". Get care if it doesn't help.

Try using a liberal amount of a water based lubricant like K Y Jelly. If the symptoms persist it may indicate an infection and it would be prudent to see a doctor. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health! Safe sex: https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/safer-sex-guidelines
