I had vaginal hysterectomy, anterior and posterior repairs 6 wks ago. we had sex and after a couple times he said i was too lubricated and he didn't feel a big difference. does the vagina return to the same level relaxation as before by having sex?

Yes, it does if the surgery was performed correctly. The vagina is a distensible organ that can expand to deliver a baby and contract during intercourse. The fact that lubrication is extensive signals that physiologically the vagina is performing its function post op without pain or discomfort.
