A member asked:

What are safe pregnancy medications to take for pid, sti/std? is there a way to stop a threatened miscarriage from occurring if caught early while on medications or it is not possible to stop the process from happening?

Therte are many medications which can be safely taken for these conditions but should be prescribed by your obgyn, which will not cause miscarriage. So don't worry about it.

If by "threatened miscarriage" is meant vaginal bleeding between 6-9 weeks of pregnancy, it may be related to inadequate progesterone produced by the corpus luteum. See your OB physician for an exam and he/she may prescribe progesterone which can correct a deficit. Your OB physician can also recommend a "pregnancy safe" antibiotic for a "PID/STI/STD".
