For past 5 months, light spotting (light brown) and cramps always 10-12 days before period. on tri cyclen lo. is this std/pid?

Meh...: Probably not, usually PID is an acute and progressive presentation, rather than something that happens for a day intermittently for 5 months. A day of cramping and spotting mid cycle could be the " mittelschmertz" which is the pain and spotting that can be felt when you ovulate. Be sure and use condoms to protect yourself from STD's!
