There is really no way to know if HIV has been transmitted except to go to your doctor and get tested. Microscopic skin breaks can lead to transmission of HIV as well as other STDs. So, go get tested! To prevent transmission of any STD, including HIV, practice safe sex-use a condom to protect yourself! Best of luck to you!

If this episode happened less than 72 hour ago, go to the nearest emergency department of a hospital for post-exposure prophylaxis. If it has been longer, get tested in about 3-4 months.
