You do not say how long ago you stopped the bcp's. An allergic reaction causing hives from something (medication, food, etc.) can last for 3 days after stopping what caused it. If you have hives for longer than that, something else may be going on, or something else may be causing the hives, so get checked in person. Consider other new products/pills/soaps/cleaners/fragrances/smoke in your house.

If you can't identify any triggers for these hives the cause is most likely going to be elusive in my experience. Save yourself a lot of time by directly consulting an allergist to conduct an investigation.

Please see an ENT/Allergist for a thorough examination for all types of allergic reactions and recommendations for treatment.
