Strep infections are known to cause a variety of sequelae in the form of continued infection (Rheumatic Fever) and the consequences of antibody development that cause autoimmune reactions such as rheumatoid arthritis and rheumatic heart disease. There are examples of autoimmunity in every organ system including the skin. Therefore, strep needs to be identified and treated early. See a doctor now.
