A 24-year-old female asked:
After a nasty strep throat, my scalp developed these itchy bumps. they seem to grow, but also come-and-go, the itching is driving me nuts. antihistamines did not help, not much is visible on my scalp: it's a little bit red and flakey?

Skin dermatitis can be initiated with strep infection . Some immune factors may aggravate the presentation as described in this case .
Undeline atopy or infection trigger an inflammatory response leading to persistent itch pump can be the case.
Suggest a combination of antibiotic therapy with an antihistamine and a topical immune suppressive named Elidel .
Hope that this combination can help.
