Conceiving: Sperm is easily replenished within 1-2 hours. Any intercourse occurring after this time should have more than enough sperm to fertilize the ovum. Make sure you are within your peak conceptive window by checking your ovulation with a commercially available kit or by checking your cervical mucus. Multiple attempts within the 5 day window should increase your odds of conceiving.

First ejaculate: Waiting 2 - 3 days without ejulating means that first ejaculate after delay will have both larger volume & contain more sperm than second ejaculate & will maximize chances of conception.
