A 40-year-old member asked:
Is there anything that can be done to increase the amount of semen after ejaculation?

Dr. George Klauber answered

What for?: Semen comes out when a male ejaculates. Volume of semen production peaks between 16-30 years of age and slowly declines after middle age. Volume of semen depends upon frequency of ejaculation. Wait a week or two and semen volume will be greater. There will be a much lower volume of semen if you ejaculat as much as 2 - 3 or more times a day.

A 21-year-old male asked:
Is there anything I can take to increase the volume and force of semen during ejaculation? Right now a small amount dribbles out and I never "shoot".

Dr. Gaston Moran Celayes answered

Why?: There is no medication with that purpose. And it's unnecessary since the function of the semen (as long as its deposited in the vagina) can be achieved. If you are unable to obtain a pregnancy i would consult a physician to look for different causes, but if it's only for narcissistic purposes, don't bother.

A 35-year-old member asked:
Is there a difference between seminal fluid and ejaculation?
1 doctor answer • 1 doctor weighed in

Dr. Simon Kimm answered
Urology 16 years experience
Component of semen.: The ejaculate, or semen, is made up of sperm from the testicles & fluids from the seminal vesicles, the prostate, and the bulbourethral glands. The seminal fluid is a viscous fluid rich in fructose, making up the bulk of semen. The prostate adds a thin white fluid containing enzymes, citric acid, and lipids. The bulbourethral glands add a clear fluid. Ejaculation is the act of discharging semen.

Blood : Blood in your semen is called hematospermia. This is not uncommon and is not necessarily problematic. If you are at young man and have been sexually active without protection- talk to your doctor about being evaluated for an std. If your are a man over 40 and this is recurrent, see your doctor to ensure that there is not a serious cause like prostate cancer.
