Herpes I/II: Herpes type I or II is very contagious, and if your sexual partner(s) had herpes, the infection is possible. If no painful areas develop in the vaginal area, you may have enough antibodies for Herpes to have avoided a present infection, or have been fortunate enough to have avoided this painful viral condition.
