Several choices: You have several choices when it comes to reversible contraceptive methods during breastfeeding. The mini pill (progestin only), the condom, IUD, shots (every 3-6 months), patches. Talk to your OB/gyn to see which one is right for you at this time and given your medical history. Avoid estrogen containing pills (can decrease milk production) and long term implants (3yrs).
