A member asked:

My wife and i are planning to have a kid this year. i have one drink with dinner almost daily. my wife said there may be health benefits for my sperm and future child by abstaining from drinking as much. is this true?

Doubt it: A woman's eggs are a finite number & her intake of alcohol or any other substance will affect them or a fetus a man gets a bit of a break. Millions of sperm are generated through a daily process and among those only the healthiest would swim well enough to reach an egg. I consider the statement more myth than valid.
