A member asked:

I have a constant throbbing pain in my groin. the origin could either be my testicle or closer to my lymph node (difficult to tell) the pain is fairly constant with some spikes. sometimes radiates into leg. what could it be. 26yo male?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If maybe testicular: Testicle pain means a trip to the doctor right away because the testicle's blood supply can be twisted off (called torsion). When that happens, the testicle can die. Other causes of testicle pain include trauma, infection, twisting of an appendix of a testicle (a small lump next to a testicle), etc... Since a guy usually cannot tell if his testicle is twisting, an exam by the doctor is needed.
