I am 29 years old and 16 weeks pregnant, also discovered i have fibroids in my womb/uterus, i have been having pains that almost feel like mild period pains and also pressure towards my backside to the anus area, is this normal? it's my first pregnan

No: See your doctor for an evaluation. You may need an ultrasound to evaluate the fetus and your cervix for any premature dilation. If your baby is ok and any premature cervical dilation or short cervix exists you may benefit from progesterone supplementation and/or a cervical cerclage.

Possible,less likely: The most likely causes are not ovulating and scar tissue in the uterus. You should consider seeing your gyn to evaluate this.
