A member asked:

Got a new brand of bc pills, was told it's the same as my old pill, can i just start taking these without using protection? because they are the same?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No protection needed: Many birth control pill formulations have multiple names. If the pills are the same but just a different name, you should be protected from pregnancy as long as you continue to take the pills as directed without any breaks from one pack to the next as you are used to doing.
