Yes, but...: Yes, it is safe and effective to immediately start the first pill of a new brand of bcps the day after you finish the last pill of your old brand. We call that - continuous use. You will continue to be protected from unintended pregnancy provided you took your previous brand and take this brand of bcps properly. However, your next period may come late, be heavier/ lighter or you may have spotting.
