Been dealing with painful stools on an off for over a year. i believe ive had anal fissures that havent healed well. how long could i take mralax. ?

As long as needed: Miralax is something you can take daily for 6 mo to a year. Split or increase you dose until your stool is always soft & stay that way for at least as long as you have had the problem or 6 mo. Wean off slowly. Plan scheduled emptying at least daily so you never get bulky. If you don't improve in a few weeks seek out a GI doc for assistance.
