Yeast infection: You may have a yeast infection, but it is important to see a doctor to be evaluated as it may be a different kind of infection. If you have a bad yeast infection, the skin of the vagina could be irritated enough to cause bleeding with sex. You may also need a different medication to treat the yeast, such as fluconazole. A doctor would be able to help with just a simple pelvic exam.
