A member asked:

Do food product containing gelatin, particularly gummy bears and gummy worms, reduce the effectiveness of bc pills, if taken just a few minutes apart?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not normally: A person who is taking her birth control pills properly, and then eats a typical, normal amount of gelatin-containing foods, should not notice any change in the effectiveness of her birth control pills. Of course, nobody knows what would happen if a person ate an unsually huge amount of gelatin. Thus, as with all things in life... everything in moderation.
