A member asked:

I have sporadic periods so i cant rely on it. the last time i had sex was over 7 weeks ago. i had a serum blood test n a urine test done 49 days after sex both being negative. is it safe to say im not pregnant even tho i have had nausea and diarreah?

Tests are accurate: Home urine pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, or medications. A correctly done urine test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a regular menstrual period (or after missing a withdrawal period, if on birth control pills).
