Depends on: what's wrong, if it is just an inflammation in that area it can be treated with medications including antibiotics, if otherwise and needs surgical intervention, hence the surgeon will decide what kind of procedure, or it can be both, medical and surgical treatment, wait until the final diagnosis by your treating doctor, wish you well
