Infection?: It sounds like it could be an infection or even an abscess. A remote concern would be cancer. If it is tender you should have a doctor look at it.

Genital lumps: These could be blocked , inflamed skin glands ( folliculitis ) , viral warts or maybe boils . Would be worth seeing doctor for examination and to rule out STI and confirm the diagnosis.
