Exactly right: Fever blisters are outbreaks of herpes virus (usually HSV-1) that will attack at your expense when you are run-down, stressed out. Thus, the best thing to do is sleep well, eat properly, avoid toxins (smoke/alcohol) and avoid STRESS. Easy to say, but hard to do... Certainly the lymph nodes in the region of the herpes outbreak would 'react' and become larger. With the groin, that could be different
