Chlamydia re-test: It is very rare for the standard chlamydia treatments to fail (azithromycin 1 dose or doxycycline 7 days), and testing to check for cure usually isn't necessary. But if done, not before 3 weeks. Up til then, the test can still be positive due to persisting DNA, even though cured. It's more important to retest at 3-6 months, because reinfection is common once people resume sex.
