Different problems: Chlamydia infects the urinary tract, so technically is a type of UTI. However, normal UTIs are entirely different medical problems from chlamydia. Neither one causes the other. UTIs are not caught from other people: natural bacteria from the intestine cause them. Chlamydia is only caught by sex with another person who already has it. There are no exceptions. Does that help clear things up?
