Uncirc Problem: Patients who are not circumcised may develop balanoposthitis, a long word meaning inflammation or infection of the foreskin and/or head of the penis. When cuts develop, it is usually because the foreskin is too tight or there is chronic inflammation. Keeping the penis dry is essential to recovery. If the problem persists, patients need to see a urologist to treat the underlying cause.
