Maybe: Maybe is the best answer as that early in your cycle re-starting the pill is unlikely to result in an ovulation. However, when you miss pills for 5 days you put yourself at risk for a "rogue" ovulation and subsequent "surprise" pregnancy. Take your pills everyday to avoid much consternation about protection or not.

Stay on schedule.: Stopping your pack five days early would cause an earlier bleeding phase. At that time, the best thing to do would be to use a BACKUP contraceptive (or avoid intercourse) and call your doctor as to the best time to start the next pack. There is a small window of opportunity for ovulation to occur and unprotected sex then is as good as saying, I'm willing to become pregnant. Stay safe.
